IISG Secretariat conducts consultations with Bosnia and Herzegovina WBCTi governance structures
The IISG Secretariat conducted consultations with Bosnia and Herzegovina WBCTi governance structures within the framework of ongoing RCC Security Governance Hub activities related to the implementation and monitoring of the Joint Action Plan on Preventing and Countering of Terrorism and Violent Extremism for the Western Balkans.
The consultations focused on developments related to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Roadmap under the JAP framework, monitoring methodology, needs mapping, donor coordination, and updates to the IISG Database.
Particular emphasis was placed on the restructuring of the WBCTi needs framework in line with the five objectives of the new Joint Action Plan and the importance of improving operationally relevant indicators, targets, and reporting mechanisms. The IISG Secretariat presented its ongoing support to the Western Balkans partners in the development and operationalisation of the JAP Roadmaps, including methodological guidance related to monitoring structures, indicator development, implementation tracking, and the integration of needs and project data within the IISG Database.
The IISG Secretariat and representatives of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina also discussed institutional coordination challenges, implementation timelines, and preparations related to the approval of the WB6 Roadmaps by June 2026.
The consultations reaffirmed the importance of continued regional coordination, evidence-based planning, and strengthened cooperation within the IISG WBCTi framework, as well as the role of the IISG Secretariat in supporting the monitoring, and coordination of the JAP Roadmaps across the WB6.
