Handover of a sizeable donation to the Montenegrin National Interagency Operational Team
On 11th October, on behalf of the IISG (Integrative Internal Security Governance) team, Mr. Ramiz Huremagić participated in the handover of a sizeable donation for the purpose of strengthening the capacity of the Montenegrin National Interagency Operational Team in charge of implementing the Action Plan enacting the Strategy for Combatting Violent Extremism. Mr. Dragan Pejanović, National P-CVE Coordinator of Montenegro and State Secretary at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, accepted the donation on behalf of the Team. The donation was made possible by the EU IPA II 2016 Multi-Country Action – Support to Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) in the Western Balkans granted to DCAF (Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance) Office Ljubljana and Co-Beneficiaries IOM, OSCE, RCC, UNDP, supporting an integrative approach to P-CVE in the Western Balkans. The contribution also reconfirms IISG’s commitment to supporting the Montenegrin Team in achieving the goals set by their national strategy, and in regional cooperation, based on significant achievements made so far. The handover took place on the margins of two IISG-supported national events on P-CVE in Montenegro chaired by Mr Pejanović during 9–10 October 2019.
