On 30th May, the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) is organizing a regional workshop on law enforcement/judicial services and state attorneys/prosecutors on dealing with terrorism and violent extremism –connected crimes in Tirana, Albania. The workshop is part of the wider EU funded project, under the IPA II 2016 umbrella, entitled “Support to Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) in the Western Balkans (WB)”. Between 18- 19 April EULEX organized a two-day workshop for Kosovo Prosecutors on interview technique skills for war crimes witnesses and victims with a focus on sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) cases in armed conflict.
Conducted by Ms. Luana Scarcella, EULEX Legal Officer, and Me. Gianfranco Gallo, international legal expert, the purpose of the workshop was to provide participants with knowledge and understanding of the specific skills needed in interviewing, witnesses and victims of war crimes cases especially those of an SGBV nature.

Funded by the EU instrument IPA 2017, the objective of this project is to train police officers, prosecutors, judges on conducting, prosecuting financial investigations. The project is implemented by CEPOL and UNODC respectively.
