Meeting of Heads of Police Cooperation Centres (PCCCs)

The meeting, financed by the PCIB Grant by Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be carried out under the framework of DCAF Border Security Programme, in cooperation with the Border Police Division of the Slovenian Police, and will bring together high-level national representatives involved in the daily work and cooperation from several PCCCs established in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, as well as national PCCC coordinators.
The aim of the meeting is to define the way forward for strengthening regional cooperation among PCCCs in the Western Balkan region in the fight against all forms of crime, especially cross-border crime, facilitating an effective exchange of information among PCCCs in the Western Balkan region in line with existing multilateral and bilateral agreements; and preparing recommendations for their work.
The meeting will serve as an opportunity to facilitate the exchange of working information on the PCCCs in the Western Balkan region and exchange examples of good/bad practices in the European Union. On the final day, the participants will also have a study visit to the PCCC Thörl Maglern in Austria, where they will be given presentations by representatives from Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
