Maja Pinjo Talevska, Senior expert/Deputy Head

Ms. Pinjo Talevska has over one-decade-old multi-faceted and progressively responsible professional experience within the international organizations, national administration, as well as within her last post as Senior Policy Analyst in the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC). Within her professional work capacity, she has been responsible for leading and implementing serval processes, which brought out concrete results i.e.: (i) setting up South East Europe 2020 Strategy implementation mechanism, (ii) establishment of monitoring system for the strategy, which included development of database for collecting indicators from the National Statistical Offices, (iii) development of Small Grants facility instrument, (iv) establishment of regional donor mechanism, including development of donors assistance database, (v) establishment of mechanism for regional coordination with all regional sectoral organizations active in the WB, thus creating strong, strategic partnerships.  In addition to the profound political awareness of the EU and SEE and thorough understanding of EU policy processes and context, her experience has furthermore included solid analytical, strategic planning, programming/proposal drafting, coordination and reporting skills.

All processes included multiple-sector approach, among which security was also covered, as separate sector.

 

As part of the regular work activities, she has also been dealing with the development of Balkan Barometer (BB) Surveys, public and business measurement tool, conducted in WB6, where she has been the editor of this extensive documents and author of the Balkan Barometer COVID-19 special edition.

Ms. Pinjo Talevska holds Master Degree of EU institutions and policies from Law Faculty of Skopje, North Macedonia and Post Graduate certificate in the same area form the University of Birmingham, UK.
