The IISG Secretariat organized a Regional Pillar Support Group meeting of the Western Balkan Border Security Initiative (WBBSi) on the 10th of June 2022 in Podgorica, to finalize the process of drafting the needs mapping reports that are to be proposed for adoption on the forthcoming 6th IISG Board meeting on the 20th of June 2022. In addition to this the next Board meeting is expected to adopt/endorse three IISG Methodologies, IISG annual work plan, but also to provide the possibility for discussion on the response mapping process and the support mapping process.
The participants individually agreed on the final filters and needs within the charts, as well as with the revised Methodology, to discuss the process of the annual response mapping report for WBBSi, to provide an update on the ongoing projects in the IISG database, and to agree on the draft annual work plan for IISG. Several comments were provided by Frontex on the individual needs, which were presented to the WB partners.
The participants have agreed to put the documents for adoption at the upcoming IISG Board meeting.
