On 2nd of June 2023, the IISG Secretariat held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Tirana, the Regional Directorate for Western Balkans, the Directorate for Security and NATO, and the Protocol Team, to deliberate on pivotal matters in preparation for the upcoming Tirana Berlin Process in regard to interior ministerial.

Focused discussions revolved around the detailed planning required for the high-profile Tirana Berlin Process. Participants explored logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation, emphasizing the necessity for a meticulous organisation to ensure a successful event.

A significant highlight was the consideration of aligning the 7th IISG Board meeting with the Tirana Berlin Process. Organisation of these gatherings was seen as an opportunity to optimise efficiency and coordination between the two forums.

Discussions also involved the timeframe, venue selection, and commitment to a detailed protocol approach.
